Philosophy
At St. Croix Valley Dance Academy, we believe that people of all ages and abilities should be able to experience the Art of Dance, but learning to dance is more than just memorizing a series of movements. SCVDA places emphasis on the proper execution of dance technique while learning the correct dance vocabulary at the same time. We believe that giving students a strong foundation of dance skills will better enable them to take their dancing ability to the next level if they so choose. We strive to provide only the highest standards of dance training to all of our students while promoting a positive, healthy and safe environment where students are free to express themselves.
Dance helps develop physical strength, coordination, balance and posture. At the same time it can build confidence, poise, self-esteem and a healthy body-image in all students. Our classroom philosophy is based on teaching students how to dance in a positive, enthusiastic, creative and FUN environment!!!
Our ultimate goal is to provide professional instruction that develops strong dance technique, performance ability and personal growth for ALL of our students.

This is the best Dance Studio in the area. My family and I have been dancing with St Croix Valley Dance Academy for 10 years. My daughter participates on the competition team, my husband has been a part of the Dads & Dolls program, and I dance with the adult ladies. We love this studio. The teachers are kind and professional. The price is excellent. I will never consider leaving St Croix Valley Dance Academy for another studio. And, I recommend this studio to anyone that wants to be involved with a quality dance program.

I danced at SCVDA for 13 years and loved every minute of it. This is a studio that cares about its students and teaching the joy of dance to all ages. Not only were the staff always kind and supportive, but they also pushed me in order to help me improve without out ever making me feel bad or upset at myself. My last four years at the studio were spent in competition and I was never pushed to join the competition line until I felt comfortable doing so. In the competition level, dances and costumes were always age appropriate and there was a great sense of teamwork. My last two years, I was given the opportunity to assistant teach with instructors, which gave me a better idea on how to work with kids and allowed me to improve my leadership skills. All in all, I could not have spent my dance career at a better dance studio.

My child has never danced before. Do they need prior experience?
We welcome all dancers at SCVDA. From the very beginner to those with previous dance training. We strive to teach all students, to give them the very best instruction that we can and to show them the joy of dancing.

Is there an age limit or range?
At SCVDA we offer dance classes to children ages three all the way through adult classes.

What types of dance classes do you offer?
We offer several different dance class options. Our recreational dance program provides classes in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop and lyrical. We also offer a competitive dance program, classes for adults and our annual Dads~n~Dolls production.

How much does it cost?
The monthly price depends upon the length of your child's class. All tuition prices do include the costume fee within it. Please visit our Tuition page on the website for all tuition details.

How do I register?
