SCVDA takes great pride in offering a variety of classes to children ages 3 - adult. Our program strives to provide dance training in a positive, enthusiastic, creative and fun environment.
Class Descriptions
TWINKLE TOES
Ages 3-5
30 minute class
9 week session: $75.00 one-time fee.
Costume will be provided to each dancer for our Cookie & Camera Performance.
This class is for those who may not want to commit to a full year of dance. A creative movement class that introduces your child to basic Ballet and Tap concepts in a fun and creative way. Emphasis is placed upon imagination, musical awareness, large and small motor skills and learning how to work in a class setting. A “Cookie & Camera” Day will be held so dancers can show off their skills to family and friends.

TINY TOES
Ages 3-5

A creative movement class that introduces your child to basic Ballet and Tap concepts in a fun and creative way. Emphasis is placed upon imagination, musical awareness, large and small motor skills and learning how to work in a class setting. Our main goal is to foster a love of movement. Students will perform two dances in the Recital.
INTRO TO DANCE
Ages 5-7
45 minute class 1X per week.
$59.50/Month
Tuition price includes one costume.
This dance class introduces basic Ballet, Tap & Jazz concepts in a fun and creative way. Emphasis is placed upon developing counting skills, imagination, musical awareness, working as individuals and also in groups. Beginning dance terminology, simple across the floor progressions and stretching will be introduced. Students will perform two dances in the Recital. We strongly recommend that dancers are enrolled in Kindergarten to register for this class.
COMBO I
Ages 7-10
45 minute class 1X per week.
$59.50/Month
Tuition price includes one costume.
This combination class begins to add upon basic Ballet, Tap & Jazz concepts. Across the floor progressions and simple formation changes are introduced. Dancers will continue to learn correct dance terminology and will develop their musical awareness and imagination. Students will perform two dances in the Recital.
COMBO II
Ages 9-12
45 minute class 1X per week.
$59.50/Month
Tuition price includes one costume.
This jazz and tap class is for students with at least one to two years of experience in the Combo I class. This class is designed for the student who is ready for more of a challenge. Group work, simple turns, formation changes and more difficult across the floor progressions are introduced while students continue to learn the proper dance terminology. More emphasis is starting to be placed on technical skills and stage presence. Dancers will perform two dances in the Recital.
ADV. COMBO II OFFERED IN ROBERTS ONLY
TEEN COMBO 13+
Ages 13-18
60 minute class 1X per week.
$63.00/Month
Tuition price includes one costume.
This combination class takes Jazz and Tap to a higher level by introducing more difficult technique and terminology. Previous jazz and tap experience is preferred but not required. Across the floor exercises, group-work, turns and leaps are expanded upon. A stronger emphasis will start to be placed on the execution of technical skills and stage presence. Students will perform two dances in the Recital
HIP HOP AGES 7+
We offer various levels of hip hop and classes are split according to age.
Ages 7-10/Ages 10-12/Ages 13+ at the Baldwin location.
Ages 7-10/Ages 11-14 at the Roberts location.
45 minute class 1X per week.

Exciting urban, street-style choreography that focuses on individual style and expression is paired up with popular and age appropriate music to create fun performances. Students will perform one dance in the Recital
LYRICAL AGES 7+
We offer various levels of lyrical and classes are split according to age.
Ages 7-10/Ages 10-12/Ages 13+ at the Baldwin location.
Ages 7-10/Ages 11-14 at the Roberts location.

This class will give students a chance to learn Lyrical technique, which incorporates the grace of Ballet with the strength of Jazz and Modern dance all fused together to create expressive performances. Students will perform one dance in the Recital.
BALLET AGES 8+
We offer five levels of Ballet and classes are split according to age/ability. The instructor will help with proper class placement.
45 minute class 1X per week.
$59.50/Month Tuition price includes one costume.
Strong Ballet technique carries over into every other form of dance. This class is highly recommended if you want to excel in the art of dance. This class introduces Ballet technique through barre work, across the floor and center exercises to give students a strong foundation of skills. Students will perform one dance in the Recital.
ADULT LADIES CLASS
Ages 18+
60 minute class 1X per week.
Punch card tuition: 4/$35 or 8/$65
Have you ever thought about dancing? Maybe you grew up dancing and want to perform again? Our jazz and tap classes emphasize the development and strengthening of basic technique, while introducing terminology and skills in a casual class atmosphere. Our adult classes welcome all levels of dancers and are geared towards the beginning, recreational student. Both classes are a great workout! Performance in the Recital is optional.
